The Baseline Cattle Assessment data collection effort was implemented by Innovations for Poverty Action.   IPA subcontracted field work to Agri Environmental Consultants, a local organization in Namibia.  The IPA-led team recorded 901 raw observations with cattle-owning households that were randomly sampled from the households that completed the Baseline Household Survey.  The household-level component includes questions on livestock and rangeland management behavior.  A cattle-level component recorded information on cattle characteristics.  The IPA-led team recorded 18,802 raw cattle-level observations across 41 RIAs.  This data was collected between October and November 2012.
