The Guatemala Threshold Education evaluation includes the following data sets available for restricted access. Baseline data was collected May 2018-July 2018 and endline data was collected September 2022-November 2022.
(1) Baseline Director Survey: The baseline survey includes a sample of 331 school directors and covers school demographic information; director use of time and school climate; school environment; director’s training; and director social demographic characteristics.
(2) Endline Director Survey: The endline survey includes a sample of 302 school directors and covers school demographic information; director use of time and school climate; director social demographic characteristics; and director’s experience with PADEP/PEM.
(3) Baseline Teacher Survey: The baseline survey includes a sample of 647 school teachers (from 331 schools) and covers cchool demographic information; director use of time and school climate; school environment; director’s training; and director social demographic characteristics.
(4) Endline Teacher Survey: The endline survey includes a sample of 626 school teachers (from 306 schools) and covers school demographic information; director use of time and school climate; director social demographic characteristics; and director’s experience with PADEP/PEM.
(5) Baseline Stallings Classroom Observations: The baseline survey includes a sample of 924 classroom observations (from 328 schools) and covers snapshots of teachers’ and students’ time use and activities; and observations on teacher and student competence.
(6) Endline Stallings Classroom Observations: The endline survey includes a sample of 817 classroom observations (from 295 schools) and covers snapshots of teachers’ and students’ time use and activities; and observations on teacher and student competence.
